This print is one of a Chieftain as it moves through a 'Rolling Replen'. There were two types of replenishment 'Replen' used to resupply our vehicles. One involved the resupply of our vehicles by bringing the supplies to each vehicle as we lay in our woodland 'hides' at night. Not the best move as the risk of our detection was higher. It was quicker and more tactically 'savvy' to have the Squadron Quarter Master Sergeant and his 'packet' as it was known, select a well covered location (normally along an overhanging woodline) line up his vehicles and have us 'roll' past the line collecting supplies as we went. Clear of the rolling replen we could move on to our nightime location to get into our silent hours routine without attracting unwanted enemy attention. The picture depicts a Chieftain fuelling from a 'Stolly' fitted with a fuel 'Pod' with another arriving behind putting its gun over the engine decks in preparation for the supplies.
