In 1944 as a result of the redevelopment of the Cromwell, the Comet burst onto the battlefield!! At last Britain had built a tank that was without any doubt fast, reliable and well-armed, and was particularly agile across country -many saw it as the best British tank of WWII!
Improved christie suspension, a reliable engine, a good level of protection and the potent 77mm main armament at last here was a 'panzer buster' capable of mobility, protection and firepower sufficient to be a real threat to German armoured forces. Initially issued to the 3rd Royal Tank Regiment spearheading 11th Armoured Division into Germany it was also issued to the 23rd Hussars and 2nd Fife and Forfar Yeomanry. The print depicts a Vehicle of A Squadron 3RTR but, if required can be changed to depict the other two units. Simply order then email me and request the change.
